2017 CFGL Problem Solving Challenge

Challenge Topic - Think Big, Act Now

In your eyes, what is a problem our world faces today, and how can you address it locally? Think Big. Act Now.

What to Submit

Students are asked to submit a three part project, presenting the problem, the solution, and a concise but effective pitch to present convey the argument.

I. Problem
Where did the problem come from? What is the current situation? What does the future look like if this problem is not addressed? (1 page write-up)

II. Solution
How will you solve this problem? How is this better than previous attempts to solve it? Is your solution feasible?
(1 page write-up)

III. Elevator Pitch
Create visuals to help illustrate your problem and solution. You have 5 PowerPoint/Keynote slides -that’s it. You will have 3 minutes to speak before your peers followed by a brief Q & A.

Qualifications
Group A - for grades 6th - 8th
Group B - for grades 9th - 11th

Limited to participants from China, Japan, Korea, & Indonesia.

Final Registration Deadline :  November 24th, 2017

Final Submission Date: December 7th, 2017
